Each of our petrified wood cheeseboards are as unique as a thumbprint, and have been hand-selected for quality and incredible color contrast. The petrified wood forms when a tree is buried underground and after more than 20 million years of water and sediment seeping into the wood transforms into stone. Once the tree stumps have been retrieved from the earth, they are sliced and polished, and then hand carved to their final shape. Our petrified wood pieces are primarily sourced from Indonesia.
